BIG Train ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our iOS, watchOS, and Android applications that provide live Irish Rail departure information.

Information We Collect

BIG Train is designed with privacy in mind. The app:

• Does not collect personal information
• Does not require user accounts or registration
• Does not track your location beyond what you explicitly choose to save
• Stores your saved stations locally on your device only

Data Sources

BIG Train fetches live departure data and schedules from Irish Rail's public API. When you use the app, requests are made directly to Irish Rail's servers to retrieve current train information. We do not store or track these requests.

Local Data Storage

Your saved stations and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data:

• Remains on your device
• Is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties
• Can be deleted by uninstalling the app
• Is included in your device backups (if iCloud, iTunes, or Google backup is enabled)

Apple Watch App

The Apple Watch companion app fetches data directly from Irish Rail, independent of your iPhone. No data is transmitted between your devices or to our servers.

Android App

The Android app operates with the same privacy-preserving approach as the iOS app. It fetches data directly from Irish Rail, stores your saved stations locally on your device, and does not transmit any personal information to our servers.

Widgets

Home screen and lock screen widgets display information based on your saved stations. Widget data is refreshed periodically using the same privacy-preserving approach as the main app.

Third-Party Services

BIG Train uses Irish Rail's public API to fetch live departure and schedule information. Please refer to Irish Rail's privacy policy for information about how they handle API requests.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

BIG Train does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is designed to be used by anyone who needs Irish Rail departure information and does not require any personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
